The David Traylor Zoo was packed with kids learning all about the importance of the planet at the Party for the Planet event.
The Party for the Planet was an earth day celebration done by the David Traylor Zoo to help inspire people to take part in wildlife conservation. There were many events that taught these values including a lesson on bees, different types of gardening techniques, lessons on recycling, and arts and crafts with recycled material.
Education coordinator Michelle Sagers talks about the zoo's mission and how this event is very beneficial
The combination of nice weather and a large number of activities made for an amazing turnout of people at the event.
