Planet Playground volunteers celebrate progress - WTOK

Community members and volunteers celebrated the progress that has been made on constructing Planet Playground Sunday evening. The celebration included family friendly activities like bounce houses and balloon art. Volunteer William Lamar said the celebration was needed and he's glad people came out to do so.

"It's rewarding that all of the volunteer's work is paying off," Lamar said. "People are seeing that and enjoying it."

Volunteers hoped to finish Planet Playground this weekend but due to inclement weather, the project will continue next month.
