An astronaut on the International Space Station took this photo. They were orbiting more than 250 miles above Australia. That's right, this is a picture of Earth. In the foreground, you see the space station (the black objects obstructing the planet), and the background is a dazzling array of stars. The Earth appears orange in this image because of what NASA calls "airglow."
