Animal Planet Developing Series With YouTube Star Coyote Peterson (Exclusive)

The show will find Peterson taking viewers on wild expeditions and giving them rare up-close animal experiences.

Animal Planet is teaming up with YouTube star, animal expert and adventurer Coyote Peterson for a new longform series featuring wild expeditions and rare up-close animal experiences.

The series, which will premiere on Animal Planet in 2019, is intended to appeal to Peterson's "Coyote Pack" — as his fans are dubbed — as well as Animal Planet's global audience.

Peterson, who is passionate about wildlife education and serves as host of the Brave Wilderness channel on YouTube (with 13 million subscribers), takes a close look at the animal kingdom in an entertaining way while promoting compassion and welfare for the natural world.

For his Animal Planet series, Coyote will travel to all new destinations and share his experiences with the most fascinating, bizarre and iconic animals on earth. Along with his crew, which includes director Mark Vins and wildlife biologist Mario Aldecoa, they will share their breathtaking adventures.

The series will be produced for Animal Planet by Peterson and Vins' banner Wilderness Productions.

Through the Brave Wilderness channel on YouTube, Coyote has hosted various adventure series including, the 2015 Emmy Award-winning Breaking Trail, Beyond the Tide, On Location, Dragon Tales and the upcoming Universal Pictures Jurassic World Explorers digital franchise set to debut Sunday exclusively on YouTube.

His first book, Coyote Peterson's Brave Adventures: Wild Animals in a Wild World!, was published last year, and his upcoming second book, Coyote Peterson: The King of Sting! will be available beginning Nov. 27.
