A 2006 video of Fergie being bitten by Quentin Tarantino on the set of Planet Terror has raised some eyebrows after resurfacing recently — but the singer/actress says there's no need for concern.
The video resurfaced this week following a Feb. 3 New York Times op-ed in which Uma Thurman accused Tarantino of mistreating her on set, leading people to wonder if Fergie experienced the same mistreatment. In a Q&A with Deadline Feb. 5, Tarantino acknowledged the acts Thurman described (including spitting on her and choking her during a scene), but provided context, saying the choking was Thurman's idea.
Outside the wrap party for FOX's The Four Thursday, Fergie set the record straight on the Terror incident, telling Entertainment Tonight the video has been taken out of context.
"First off, I stand with victims everywhere no matter what genre, race, gender, age. I stand with victims period, and I don't want to take away from anyone's story," the 42-year-old singer explained. "That just wasn't my story."
She continued, "We were just kind of having banter. We were having a little bit of fun... But make no mistake, I don't want to take away from anyone's story, and I stand with every victim and everyone's story everywhere."
The behind-the-scenes video shows Fergie being chased by Tarantino in a scene where he is portraying a zombie.
"We kept having to re-do the scene because (Tarantino) was getting so into being this creature that he was making all these noises," she says in the clip. "So we're doing the scene, right? And it comes to the part, and he starts biting me"

In a following shot, Fergie flashes the visible bite mark, located just below her right shoulder, to the camera.
"Quentin (expletive) bit me," she says. "And by the end of this shoot, I will bite him back."
The film's director, Robert Rodriguez, also commented on the incident during the clip.
"It wasn't a bad — it wasn't like a bite. She wasn't bleeding or anything," he said. "Certainly he felt some teeth on flesh, but it happens, people get into their role."
