Green Planet Grocery in Cicero to close; Oswego, Fairmount locations staying open

CICERO, N.Y. - Green Planet Grocery, a natural and organic foods market with three locations in Central New York, is closing its Cicero store.

The store will close once much of the inventory has been sold, the company announced. To achieve this, everything in the store, except for cafe items and previous purchases, is 50 percent off until the store closes. No other discounts apply.

A spokesman confirmed that the Oswego and Fairmount locations are remaining open.

The store at 6195 State Route 31 opened in October 2014. Green Planet Grocery opened its first location in Oswego in 2004 and Fairmount in 2010.

While store hours at the Cicero location will remain the same leading up to the closing, the cafe hours have been cut to Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and weekends from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
