Kimmel mocks Trump throwing paper towels at Puerto Ricans: 'What planet is this man from?'

Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel on Tuesday mocked President Trump for throwing rolls of paper towels at a crowd of Puerto Ricans while visiting the devastated island in the wake of Hurricane Maria.

"He really puts the ass in compassion," Kimmel said. "It looks like he's operating the T-shirt cannon at a Flippers game. Who does that? What planet is this man from? The Brawny paper towel guy would know better than to do that."

The incident occurred during Trump's visit to a church where aid was being distributed.

Trump also met with the mayor of San Juan, Carmen Yulín Cruz, whom he had previously lashed out on through Twitter, saying that she had showed poor leadership.

After the meeting, Trump pointedly left her out of his praise for Puerto Rican leaders.

Trump, meanwhile, has repeatedly praised his own response to the tragedy, saying, "We are doing a tremendous job in Puerto Rico. It's going really well."

"It's amazing how he's able to get those tiny hands around his back to pat it so efficiently," Kimmel said of Trump's remarks.
